La Mystérique moves between Hong Kong, China and Liverpool and across generations to explore dual cultural and linguistic heritages. The meditations, ghosts and memories of this sequence form a spiritual quest – a longing – weaving together mystical texts with the poet’s family history.

Jennifer Lee Tsai is a poet, editor and critic from Liverpool. She is a fellow of The Complete Works, a Ledbury Poetry Critic, and the winner of a Northern Writers Award. Her work is published in the Bloodaxe anthology Ten: Poets of the New Generation (2017) and in her debut poetry pamphlet Kismet (ignitionpress).
